Shola Thompson is one of the founding members of Caribbean Passion Inc. and currently serves as the Managing Director.

Shola brings over seven years of management experience as well as over ten years of marketing and promotion experience to the Caribbean Passion team. As Managing director Shola oversees all aspects of the daily running of the Caribbean Passion enterprise and is primarily responsible for purchasing materials, securing new manufacturing contracts as well as sponsorship and advertising contracts.

Marlon Smart, one of the founding members of Caribbean Passion, brings to the table over a decade of experience and currently holds the position of Creative Director. Since the company’s inception, Marlon has designed all of the costumes and sections for Caribbean Passion and as such his work can be seen on numerous Caribbean websites as well as in the Caribbean Passion photo gallery. In addition, Marlon has also been the creative mind behind the décor featured at all Caribbean Passion events as well as for the Caribbean Student Association at St. Johns University, Brooklyn College World AIDS Day Awareness Foundation, Slaming Events, Earth Member for Life www.earthmemberforlife.com , Brooklyn Caribbean Festival and countless other affiliated events.

Prior to his work with Caribbean Passion, Marlon was trained in design while doing a short program with “Mas Man” and world rebound designer, Peter Minshal. This experience not only heightened his love for the arts but years later his art and talents landed him a job as part of the creative team of Island People; a primer event management agency in Trinidad and Tobago and arguably in the Caribbean. There his skill was further enhanced under the astute guidance of his mentor, owner and creative director Derrick Lewis.

Marlon Smart, graduated from Borough of Manhattan Community College with an AA in Liberal Arts and is currently obtaining his BA in Interior Designs at the Fashion Institute of Technology FIT.

Onya West brings over seven years of event planning and over five years of marketing experience to the Caribbean Passion team. Onya’s has an impressive record of event planning/ management experience that ranges from intimate party planning and publicly attended multi-cultural fashion shows to corporate event planning for international dignitaries.

Onya joined the Caribbean Passion family in May of 2010 as the head of social media marketing strategy and operations for Caribbean Passion.Onya shares her passion for encouraging unity and sustainable development for Caribbean nationals with Caribbean Passion and displays it directly through her company Macafouchette: www.macafouchette.com. Through, this medium, she incorporates her love for all things Caribbean and her studies in traditional and conventional medicine to find ways to promote dialogues within health education and healthy living. On her company website, Onya constantly dialogues about the value and the uniqueness of Caribbean cuisine but also challenges her members to discover new ways to use food creatively and economically within their daily lives.

Onya believes that the Caribbean is a fertile ground for development and achievement far beyond the scope of current standards and Caribbean Passion is privileged to have Onya as part of the team

Robert Gray, currently serves as Caribbean Passion’s office manager and is primarily responsible for all administrative duties; answering phones, filing, meeting minutes, data entry and most importantly keeping all parts of the Caribbean Passion family informed and abreast of all new developments.

Recently, Robert has put his 15 years of experience in the reggae music industry experience to work by spearheading a new project that involves the creation of a Caribbean Passion entertainment subsection that would encompass the hosting of regular reggae and soca concerts, posting of music reviews as well as other services for new and upcoming artists. Stay tuned for the launch of this new subset of Caribbean Passion Inc.

Andy Greene brings to the Caribbean Passion staff over seven years of Graphic design experience and as such is primarily responsible for the creation, concept and design of all Media for Caribbean Passion. His daily functions include, but aren’t limited to, designing web pages, as well as all promotional & marketing materials for all print and electronic media.

In addition, Andy is the sole proprietor of Caribbean Passion’s affiliate company Greeneman Designs a company that he founded and where he also serves as the principle graphic designer.
